During July’s meeting, we welcomed Kate Norby from Opportunity Development Center (ODC), who presented on ODC’s Customized Self-Employment Pilot program. A key takeaway from Kate’s presentation is that customized self-employment can be a fulfilling option for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, but needs to be supported at a systems level across the state to be truly sustainable.
